You can buy whatever your small pregnant heart desires, but also if you are having a baby shower I would wait until I got slap pleased with cute small baby stuff. [=
Yes it’s fine and it’s on sale bonus! I will probably wait until I am 30 weeks to start buying larger things though, but then i’m a total worrier!
WAIT!!! Babies R us runs stuff on sall all the time and you subdue have quite a while to go…Have your baby shower first and see what you get….A lot of era family and close friends will buy you the larger/more expensive items!!
For now just go pick out your theme or whatever you like, and make a registry! have fun and relax!
I reckon rule of thumb is you wait to buy things until you’re in at least your second trimester and you’ve found out the gender.. or at least are far enough long to have found out the gender.
at this point you’ve gone past the most crucial stage and have less of a chance of complications at this point vs. a name in their first trimester

Edit to add: sometimes people such as myself need to depend on sales like that because i’m way too far away from friends and family (thank you military) to have a baby shower and to expect people to buy things for me and send them clear crosswise the country is unfair of me. if you want to buy it, then buy it, but if you DO have a baby registry, make sure to remove the item from it so a name else doesn’t get it for you!
Never substitue a crib with a playpen, ever-babies need the firm support of a crib mattress. I would say no to a playpen to be honest-
If you have found a bargain then go for it! My baby due 8th Feb 2010 and i already have lots of bits including a Graco travel system. There is nothing incorrect with plotting ahead. I unfortunately lost a baby at 16 weeks before this pregnancy and i had brought some baby bits then – but i do not regret buying them as money would have been tight once baby arrived and i needed those things in advance. After the early shock, I sold them on Ebay simple enough – i reckon i even made £10 profit on what i paid for them. Im a planner.. always have been and always will be!

I’ve already bought my cot, because it was meant to be £269 but was £119!!! Bargain! (also it’s a cotbed so will last her until she is 3)
It’s really up to you when you buy it hun – I have bought mine but am keeping it in the box with the receipt, just incase.. But in a week or so our babies are viable – so I will have everything in a couple of weeks but that’s just me
So if it were on offer, I’d buy. If not, I’d wait.
Usually by 23 weeks you are pretty much in the safe zone though xxx
I say buy them things as you can! I already have my son’s room about ready, and bought some clothes too. I subdue have bounty more to get of way lol.. . But since you are plotting on not having a baby shower… you don’t have to worry about a name picking them up. I don’t reckon I am having a baby shower, and this is my first. But I started my shopping the day I found out the gender! I have been plotting a baby for a while! It’s sooo exciting! But I say go for it, especially if you can catch some things on sale. It’s not like you won’t use it soon.

We bought this pack n play after purchasing and returning an evenflo playard. We had one pack n play in the upstairs of our home from our first outcome and wanted a second one to have downstairs. The bassinet is quite sturdy, and all the pieces lock properly without to much effort. We didn’t even need to use the instructions when setting it up. Plus it came with a mobile, a music station and a storage space for diapers and such. All in all a nice item, that can work for a girl or boy, definatley would recommend it!
